The objective of the Associate Degree in Nursing program is to provide students with the appropriate didactic theory and hands-on skills required to prepare them for nursing positions in health care centers, clinics and facilities. Students will be prepared to successfully pass RN licensure and practice their skills in a safe, competent, ethical and professional manner.
The Associate Degree in Nursing is composed of 15 General Education credits and 16 Prerequisites credits in core areas. In addition, 45 credits on Nursing on a total of 24 months. This program will enable the students to perform effectively as nurse by putting into practice the knowledge and skills learned side by side with the faculty in the classroom, lab and clinical settings. The students will be equipped with the professional, ethical and management skills to make a difference in the lives of those they care and to positively affect the medical system.
Prior to completion student must successfully pass each course as listed in the Course Listing with a minimum of a “C” (75%). Upon meeting the requirements the student will be awarded an AS Degree.

CIC offers grants of $10,000 and $ 5,000 for the nursing degree programs for those students who qualify under the following categories:
- Single parent
- Immigrants under the D.R.E.A.M Act.
- Head of Household
- First in family to pursue higher education
